Industrial Experience:

Presently serving as a Research Scientist in the Dept. of Drug Safety Evaluation of Ranbaxy Research Labs, Gurgaon from June 2004 to current date.
Served as a Pathologist in Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology,Zydus Research Centre, Ahmedabad from October 2002 to June, 2004.

Education:
Completed M.V.Sc (Pathology) from Madras Veterinary College, Chennai during September 2002 with an OGPA of 8.8/10.0 
Completed B.V.Sc from Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal during March 2000 with an OGPA of 8.4/10.0
Skill set :

Expertise in Histopathological Interpretation of toxicity studies of NCEs

Expertise In Bone Marrow Cytology analysis and interpretation of toxicity studies

Expertise in Morphometry analysis of various tissues of rats and mice

Analysis and Interpretation of Haematology, Biochemistry, Urinalysis of toxicity studies

Planning and execution of Toxicity studies Like Range Finding, Acute, Sub-Acute and Sub Chronic in Rodents and Non-Rodents including rabbits and dogs

Expertise in setting up new models of obesity, inflammation

Hands on training in Immunohistochemistry, cytochemistry and In situ hybridization 

 

Responsibilities:

Establishing disease models to assess potential therapies eg. Vasculitis model, Bleomycin induced lung fibrosis, Phospholipidosis model etc.,

Characterizing modifications in the disease state in response to therapies by histopathological screening of the toxicity studies

Characterizing toxicologic mechanisms and responses to drug candidates by haematological, biochemical and urinalysis data analysis and literature survey

Facilitating multidisciplinary efforts to monitor for the clinical occurrence,    progression, and reversibility of adverse events
